SyNG - Symbol New Generation / News: Recent posts

I proude to announce SyNG 5.9.1. In this relase you may find new function: creating and managing of groups, which represents diffrent projects or parts of big one. Because it is a new feature, plese be careful during using it and report if you found any bugs.

After some time new version of SyNG (5.8.1-x) has bee relased. From now user can manage as many projects as he want to. He can simply create groups, which all represents difrent projects or parts of them.

New version of SyNG (formely known as SNG) is now avilable. Version 5.6.1 is next step in progress of SyNG so it offers some new functions, which makes work with SyNG more comfortable and efficient.

At first in Menu appearded function no. 9 - stats, which should make work of archeologists more simple.

There is also avilable choose text mode. If you don't like Menu-mode, in shell write 'python syng.py txt'. When you will see '-->', you can type 'help' to see help topic.... read more

I'm proud to announce first relase of Symbol New Generation (SyNG) which is a next step in development of Symbol - aplication designed to improve archeologists' work on excavation site. SyNG make avilable following functions:
- adding new items and describing them, editing, removing etc.
- searching defined items stored in SyND database
- importing from file and exporting to txt
SyNG offers simple and comfortable text interface. Because SyNG is written in Python Language it is avilable for a lot of platforms, from *NIX to MS Windows, and also is very fast, so it can be use also on very old hardware.
Unfortunetly on this day SyNG has only Polish language version, but on close future I put in CVS special README file in English which help you understand functions ;) and maybe translate SyNG on English ;).

I'm proud to inform about Symbol New Generation (SNG), software written to make easier work of archeologists SNG is next step in Symbol development. From now it offers free definititing atributes, user is not limited with atributes defined by author of software, but he can add his atributes in simple way.

The newest build 181 was relased. There is avilable new function - editing atributs of artefacts. Bug #1102899 was fixed. More informations about changes you can find in README file in archive.

For GNU/Linux users:
To useing symbol without problems, you should set chmod 666 for base.py (it will be created after first running).

The freshest build of Symbol was made avilable. There are added new functions - counting artefacts and also fixed bugs.

Symbol build 140 relased. Since build 100 have been added new functions: exporting to txt, removing, searching (in build 126), adding localisation, showing artefacts in it. Database is created at first running. Have a nice work
