Just by rare chance I was at the AtheOS site and there was a news posting today. Just to sum it up he got distracted with other thinsg and his development box is down. Though this quote was interesting "When I was done with my theory exams in March I tried getting started again, but got very dissapointed and lost all motivation when the first thing I read about after getting some hickups in my mail-server sorted out whas what Bill Haiden was doing with AtheOS." No mention of syllable so Im curious how he will react to that Also, I plan to try and maintain teh installation guide for at last a while now and will update it with what changes each release will bring. I also plan to start figuring out how to setup a Syllable development enviroment (maybe make some notes on the documentation site when I am done) and start adding soem ideas for GUI widgets. Has anyone started working on the split of GUI Prefs? Ive been thing of working on parts of that too. Also what about moving config files to XML or even YAML which I jsut read abotu and looks quite interesting though the C library is not done yet http://www.yaml.org Good job Vanders on GLIBC and whaeveryone else is doing Ed Page ===== _____________________________________________________ "There are of course many problems connected with life, of which some of the most popular are `Why are people born?' `Why do they die?' `Why do they spend so much of the intervening time wearing digital watches?'" -- The Book, "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," Douglas Adams __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
