Did you close the filer window that you used to access the floppy? If I remember correctly, on USB sticks at least, the only problem can be that you have to close the window, then re-open the Disks window to let the filer know that the medium is not in use anymore, so you can right-click and choose "unmount". I just tried copying a file to a floppy in Syllable and rebooted into Windows and the file was there. That doesn't prove anything of course, but I did notice two things: 1) our floppy driver uses BIOS calls which makes it extremely unfriendly to multitasking (try moving the mouse pointer while it's accessing the floppy), and 2) I wasn't able to unmount the floppy from the GUI or from the command line (it gave me a device busy error). ... -Jake |
