A configuration page and the ability of the server to
automatically download the latest updates from swgcraft
and import them would be great. I have seen a couple
folks write thier own scripts to do that. Having this
supported natively would be helpful. A configuration
interface via web to set options would make the task of
setting up the job much easier.
Since you can import data as well as enter it locally,
it would be best to have some way to reconcile the
data. If for instance, the data was entered locally and
you imported the latest data from swgcraft.com
(automated or not) it would be nice to have a way to
reconcile the data. perhaps another view with the
swgcraft.com data and local data side by side and then
be able to compare and update. The program should be
smart enough to see any data that is identical and
automatically reconcile the information for that resource.

There are a set of PHP scripts included that should handle the
automated import if you use the OS's scheduler to run them. I did not
not add anything to handle scheduling since the user running the web
server is often restricted from accessing things like cron in order to
schedule stuff. I have it set up on my server to do just this.
Those importer scripts automatically merge changes between existing
data and the data in the xml file downloaded from swgcraft, which is
what you are asking for in the second paragraph, I believe.
Have you taken a look at these or do you have something else in mind?
