Thank you for this excellent program. I bought also full version and use it immediately. I think you do excelent work, thx.
I recommend one functionality:
Possibility set generally or for each wall how capture and align the wall. **
You use only middle (centre), but if you have and know the dimensions from inside room, and also informations about widtht of the wall will be perfect if I can set generally that I draw walls from inside dimensions and you add automatically the width or from outside.**
I find that same notes and request had also other persons, but it is long time ago...
Why this points isn´t important for you? For user it is perfect tools and easy way how draw end edit in short time walls.
Thx
Roman

What makes you think it's not important for me? It's more like nobody proposed a better solution to draw the walls of a home with multiple rooms that are not always rectangle. Note also that walls in real houses have rarely the same thickness everywhere, and that this choice comes from the idea that you'll draw walls upon a blueprint you imported, in which case drawing from the middle isn't a problem. Of course, not everybody have a blueprint at its disposal, and in that case, it will be in all cases more complicate.

But if you want to draw the walls of ONE room from its inner dimension, then draw it with the room creation tool, then choose the wall creation tool, double-click in the room and here are the walls you want!

Hello. Thanks for your wonderful application.
I think I have the same problem as Roman.
I did how you said. I drew a room (which I measured from inside) and created walls by double-clicking the room with the wall creation tool. Then I changed the wall thickness to 80cm (old stone building). This made the walls come 40cms into the room which results in a much smaller room.
It would help if the walls were ouside of a room. Otherwise the measurements and the calculated square footage do not match the original room anymore.
      Thank you,
      Flo

    Hi,
I love the software but I struggle with the same issue :) Seems like doing rooms, and the double click helps but still I need to remember to take the wall thickness from the total width or height which I think this feature would solve. Also doing rooms in the middle of something already exists (eg sharing one wall) adds unwanted (crazy looking) walls which also is something You can surly solve in SH3D.
