In order to thing about adding instalation feature, we muss thing in more that only electrical. The main ones are: electrical (power), clean and waste water, gas, security, communications (telephony, networks, etc). I think the same base will serve to each one of them. It is required an objects library for each one, layer selection ability (with the same functionalities that those for autocad). I will research about free software about this idea in order to make a posible colaboration across projects. Happy new year!!!

In order to draw the electrical installation I exported an svg file form SH3d and imported into Dia to add the symbols.
As I love the program, it is hard having to switch to an other one to be able to do so. Electricity is part of the internal organisation of a house. It would already be very practical to be able to drop electrical symbols (library) on the drawing.
