Hi,

I'm using the the latest version from App Store (5.5.3).
If I export a sh3d to pdf via File > Print the PDF is 1,28GB. If I open the same file with the latest executable jar (5.5.2) the same export is 6,8 MB.
It seems like the latest version from App Store somehow generates a huge 2d plan, which is causing this massive file size.

This is due to the circumvent I programmed for this bug in Java I reported 4 years ago. Fortunately, the bug fix should be released in the coming weeks with Java 8u152. Then, I'll release a new version of Sweet Home 3D to let users print faster and generate smaller PDFs under Mac OS X.

Fixed in version 5.6 when run with Java 8u152, and in Mac App Store version 5.6.1
