#1058 3D view uses only one quarter of the panel

The 3D view (whether in a window of its own or not) works nicely except that it uses only the bottom left quarter of the panel. I attached a screenshot. Funny enough, I have two laptops with exactly the same configuration (i.e., installed via a script) but different hardware. I observe this problem only on one of them.

I use the stock SH3D of Ubuntu 20.04. SH3D 6.2, Java 11.0.11, Java 3D 1.5.2.
