Does the program successfully run when you launch it?
Hi Emmanuel,
Thanks for your quick response.
Yes, the program runs ok when launch it and I can add any of the object in the included library. This is using only the MacBook display. If I select "Display In Separate Window", it crash again.
The program also crash when I add any of my 3d objects, but I've been using the software and those object for years with no problem.
I tried opening several of my latest and oldest archives with no luck.
I deleted the software with an uninstaller and re install it again from the Mac App Store.
But i just found out the possible problem that I can reproduce every time:
1. I turn off the external monitor2. Open an old file with no problem3. Re Save the session.4. Turn on the external monitor5. Open the session (now with no 'Sparate Window')6. Software run the file with no problem7. As soon as I select "Display In Separate Window", it crash again.8. Force Quit9. Restart the software and same file again with no problem (with no separated window saved) 10. repite cycle from step #7
Other test I did:
1. Lunch the software2. Move the soft window to the external monitor3. Open the same file in prior test (with no "separated window")4. The soft crash trying to open that file but in the main MacBook display. I can see a new blank window in the main display and the software default window in the external monitor.
I'm using the same Mac OS version, same MacBook Pro and same External Monitor I've been using for years.
Also the session files I'm opening are the ones I've been working at lest for 8 months with no problem.
Those sessions were running very well and fast (3D view in separated window, full size)
I really don't know what has changed in this eco system in the last month. That's when I had opening the software with no problem before I start having this problem two days ago.
Thanks again for your help!
Diego

Maybe the problem comes from the version 6.5.1 which was recently published.
If you want to move the 3D view back to the main window on your existing files, use Sweet Home 3D 6.4.2.
If you have a crash log at your disposal, please attach it to your answer.
This 6.4 works fine, at least with one display. It still crashing with Separate Windows but at least I can keep working.
Hopefully there will be an update soon.
Thanks for your help.
Diego

The version 6.5.5 released in the Mac App Store two days ago should fix this issue.
Read this post for more information.
Yes, it seems like it is working fine now,.
Thanks!
