Xlib: unexpected async reply (sequence 0x3d069af)

happens when saving edited large files. Happened about
3 times out of about 8 tries of this potentially most
excellent program. seems to save it OK then crash.

started prog from console with sweep &

get this message then prog locks up. have to kill process.

Red Hat 9. Athlon.

It seems to work OK when its on a separate desktop with only
    sweep windows open.....

Sweep is cool! but a wierd bug, could be my linux library
versions or something, very hard to pin down such an error I
guess. anyway, I'm happy now I've discovered how to stop it
    crashing...

    Thanks for that

i've also seen this and in the gtk2 port no less.
iirc only when using xinerama though.
tricky to verify now as my second monitor just died
