Dear Valeria, If your SWAN input is based on bulk parameters, i.e., Hs, Tp, Dir and Dspread, for one or more partitions, you won't be able to add more than one spectral peak to your simulation. As Nicolas suggested, the 2D spectrum would be the ideal input for multimodal wave spectra. SWAN can read 2D wave spectra with the commands BOUNDNEST1 (coarse SWAN run), BOUNDNEST2 (WAN output) and BOUNDNEST3 (WW3 output). If you are working with partitioned data, you will need to reconstruct the 2D spectra, which can be done with the pyswan and pywafo python libraries. Another library worth trying has been recently developed by Metocean Solutions: https://www.metocean.co.nz/news/2018/4/12/new-open-source-library-for-processing-ocean-wave-spectra Best, João On Thu, 11 Jun 2020 at 02:46, Nicolas De Assis Bose <bos...@gm...> wrote: > Hello Valeria, > > In this case, directional wave spectrum seems more correct to be used as > lateral boundary.
