Dear all SWAN users, I have a question about wind interpolation. As we know, if the time step of wind series is larger than computational time step, SWAN will interpolate the wind time series between each step. However, it was unclear for me how it performs the interpolation: (1) Does the interpolation is based on "u-v (Cartesian) components" or "magnitude-theta (polar)" components? (2) Is the interpolation purely with respect to time or considering spatial (i.e., neighbor time series) interpolation? (3) Any particular algorithm to calculate interpolated values or just simply use linear interpolation? Thanks, Ying-Po |
