Hello! I use the software SWAN for an internship during my master degree. I start with the work of a former student and I have some trouble with the input files used for the different commands (bottom, wind, currents,...) of swan. After carefully reading the user manual, I launched some simulations on a regular grid created with Matlab and saved as "ascii data". I used the same grid for bottom and wind, I only changed the values in the grid. It worked pretty well but I wonder what are the other ways to gain or create input data for swan. Is Matlab interface a good solution for that work? Can I use data written from another form than ascii? Is [idla] command the only way to control the reading of values from a file? I have some other issues, especially regarding stationary and non-stationary mode but this could wait the answer to the above questions. I hope I've described my problems clearly enough. Thanks in advance for your answer and for allowing such talks about swan. Kindest regards Ophélie |
