Just a small update to the "stable" branch to fix a build error during "make install". This included removing the outdated and broken international support.
Finally got around to releasing Swami 0.9.3 after it had been sitting around for a while. New features include:
- Sample exporting
- Import/export of loop/instrument info when using libaudiofile and AIFF format sample files
- Removed "Please don't distribute SoundFont" message
- May have fixed some bugs
This is the first packaged release of Swami 1.0.0beta, the development branch that has been in progress for almost 2 years without release! Its mainly a technology preview and is not fully functional yet. More details will be posted to the Swami web site.
A CVS tarball of FlacPak was made for public consumption. FlacPak is currently part of libInstPatch, you can find more info on the FlacPak info page:
http://swami.sourceforge.net/flacpak.php
Some bug fixes, portability improvements and a few new features.
A few new features, most notably support for FluidSynth 1.0.0. See the README for details.
Many bug fixes, modulator editor is now functional, improved iiwusynth control dialog, a preview of the generator graph (still a bit annoying, any ideas?), a real plugin system, libInstPatch should be more portable, a libsndfile 1.0.x plugin and other things.
First release of Swami in effect. Go on give it a try, you'll love the iiwusynth software synth support and real time effects. Most editing operations are once again working. Do more operations on multiple items then before. Drool over the modulator editor as it teases but doesn't edit yet :)
Swami (Sample Waveforms and Audio for Magical Instruments) is going to be the new name for the Smurf Sound Font Editor. The name change is being made to avoid possible copyright infringement and also to reflect an entire GObject based re-code of the Smurf. Nothing has been released yet, but stay tuned :)
