Yes, I got same error when using the most recent code tree of the
SvxLink.

Incoming EchoLink connection from OH4VA-L (Veijo) at 84.251.152.5
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::logic_error'
  what():  basic_string::_M_construct null not valid
Aborted

Using an older version and rebuilding the binaries from code tree is a
work around.
