Yeah, I can tell the squelch is open from a few different points: 1. Monitoring with an external speaker, I can tell the radio is receiving from the RF repeater 2. Using arecord, I can tell the audio is making it through the soundcard to the OS level (and sounds decent, too). 3. Monitoring the svxlink log, I see squelch open/close or distorsion messages, which tells me svxlink is receiving [what I assume to be] audio. > > > > Is there a way to validate the software is actually using the incoming > > RF audio? Right, which is pretty much what I've done so far while trying to narrow the issue down. What I'm really hoping for is some way to validate specific things are firing or failing in the software itself. Actually, what may be a related question.. Should the audio from the short and long id be audible on an echolink client? I can hear it on the actual RF repeater, but I don't think I hear it on my iPhone echolink client. If it _should_ be audible on an echolink client, then that's even more confusing since I hear the "connected to svxlink, blah blah" message when I first connect. I would expect to either get all audio or no audio, not only select audio. -- David, K9DWR k9...@gr... |
