#33 timeout support

It is possible to have a bug in the code or in the test that would make the simulation run forever (like an infinite loop).

It would be nice to have some sort of global and/or finer-grained timeout setting.

this is the second time this has come up. I'm going to add either a start-to-finish global setting or a per-test setting. probably the per-test setting.

I'll get to this asap.
