Simple Vector Library / News: Recent posts

SVL 0.7.0 will come very soon, the kylix support was dropped, so only Delphi Win32 will be supported in the near future.
I plan to have a complete 1.0.0 version before the end of year and will be the last supporting Delphi 6.x/7.x (of course maitenance releases will be granted).
In the same time, i have started the development of SVL 2.0, that is coded primarly in Java (using SWT library for output, a Swing version will come later), then ported in C#, so SVL 2.0, will be available for all supported .NET languages: C#,VB.NET and, of course, Delphi 8 for .NET and Delphi 2005.
SVL 2.0 is planned for the third quarter of the year.
Source code will be licensed under GPL license, binary version (jar's and .NET dll's) will be licensed with LGPL license.
So stay tuned, SVL is alive :-)

Starting First November, Simple Vector Library will be back more powerful than ever and with some changes in license model.
Due some bad uses of my library, i have decided to change again the license model, starting from upcoming 0.7.0 release, SVL is shipped under a more restrictive General Public License (GPL). Also a commercial license will be available for anyone need to use it in a commercial software without releasing the source. So stay tuned, SVL 0.7.0 will be avaiable very soon, with a lot of rich features!

The new version of Simple Vectory Library is out, with enhanced features like experimental DXF import (with blocks!!!), performance improvements, and some bugs solved. A new Test applications (for Delphi and Kylix) with sample feature like: zoom, pan, layer, dxf import.

Due to bugs founded the new version will coming in next days, with some of enhancements:
DXF import classes, more detailed examples unit with zoom/panning. A CVS tree will be online in same days.

The first, beta version, of Simple Vector Library for Delphi and Kylix was released today.
