Configuring an effect from the transforms menu used to apply it also to any playback that was happening at the same time. Doesn't seem to be working at the moment (Linux/PA)
The problem here is that the PA driver no longer knows for sure what its block size will be., so it just reports a "worst case" (in this case 12288). This is then used by the model transformer factory to build its auditioning plugin, and the play source then refuses to use the auditioning plugin because it has the wrong block size for the one that is actually requested (in this case 4096).
