Distributor - Manufacturer electronic exchangeHi Mani, SupplierConnect is a framework suitable for receiving and processing XML messages of any kind. The sample configuration was built to receive cXML Purchase Orders from the Ariba Supplier Network. SupplierConnect can be configured to parse, transform and integrate those purchase orders with internal systems. SupplierConnect can be used to handle any type of business document however. I'm not familiar with cXML or eBIS-XML documents that are specific for supplier-manufacturer interaction or distributor-manufacturer interaction, however if they exist then SupplierConnect could be used to send and receive them, by any number of methods (i.e. Web services, HTTP, email). Any schema of XML can be used, if there isn't a cXML or eBIS-XML document that fits the purpose. This week I uploaded a page outlining how to customise and extend SupplierConnect for your own purposes: http://supplierconnect.sourceforge.net/custom.html. Perhaps if you can explain the specific type of document you want to transmit to business partners, and their technical capabilities, I can talk more about how SupplierConnect might be useful. cheers, Evan. -----Original Message----- From: sup...@li... Subject: [Supplierconnect-user] Distributor - Manufacturer electronic exchange Hi all, sorry, if this is a trivial question. Can i use SupplierConnect for Distributor - Manufacturer integration ? How does the business document (cXML or eBIS-XML) defer between the Supplier - Manufacturer interaction and the Distributor - Manufacturer interaction ? mani |
