What about just adding an entry in the tkkf file, like (is-selectable 1) and check for that attribute in the select kart gui? This way we can easily re-use the existing 'infrastructure' :) (meaning: we can be lazy and don't have to change the kart loader to accept a different extension etc :) ). Additionally, we might want to use the ghost model for something else (e.g. someone suggested a 'following' race mode: all players have to follow one kart, after a certain time, the kart furthest away is kicked out of the game. We could use the ghost kart here to be the kart other people have to follow). > what do you think? ideas welcome .. :) The point I am not entirely sure of: do we need/want a different ghost model for each kart, or just one generic ghost? I mean it would be nice, but then again a lot of work (I would prefer the artists spending this time working on new tracks :) ). And if we go with one generic ghost kart, that would be enough (ok, with bullet physics and different kart characteristics that might be a bit odd ... not sure). Any comments? We could just add the name of the ghost model to the tkkf file as well (defaulting to the generic ghost). So if we start getting more ghost karts, we could just add the names to the tkkf files, without any additional programming, and at the beginning (using the ghost model from the Macs) just every kart defaults to this model. Just my 2 cents :) Cheers, Joerg - -- - ---------------------------------------------------------------- Joerg Henrichs Luding Administration e-mail: jo...@lu...
