You would need to delete the vertex keys and recenter the objects though, right now there's awful lines running all over the place. Also, another possible concern is the amount of added polygons - how low-poly do we want to be? Anyway it probably looks great, I just didn't try it in game because of texturing issues, etc. I don't have the jungle models textures in STK, and don't feel like adding them all to materials.dat (cause many use transparency... without an entry it'll look ugly) Adding cactuses is a very good idea :) About the sand : first of all I think we should have a discussion about whether we want more. I personnaly think having it in some areas only is better. Joerg seemed to express he sort of liked the feelign of diving into the sand but I'd like more opinions in general. Your current modelling has some problems. First of all, the texture mapping is somewhat poorly done, in some areas it's streteched, in others it isn't, when turning it's all messed up, near the side of the road it's stretched too. You would need to use some projection, not just fill the texture per quad. Also the sand doesn't quite reach the side of the road so there's strange gaps. I didn't want to sound harsh, sorry :) There's just stuff to improve, and honestly I would like that we decide whether we want more sand at all before trying to add it. PS: stop referring to me as "the artist", in many places I would be considered a total noob ;) |
