Hi Sebastion, thank you very much for your bug reports here on the list! [...] > 1. I have no sound. Could you see if sound and sfx are enabled in your config? It was actually switched off in my case (but since I am usually playing without sound that's not too surprising). With windows I have sound effects, but had no music atm. > 2. The game crash often I am aware of two kinds of crashes: one with an assertion error somewhere in default robot, and one where the game just freezes. I think both problems are related to the AI which doesn't handle rescuing correctly. I already mailed Coz about these problems, and hope that I can supply more details when I see this crash next time. > 3. The game is sometimes very slow when other carts are in the windows. > But my hardware have enough speed. That's most likely a problem with the (rather old) plib, which doesn't really give the best performance. We plan to switch to a different grpahics library, but this will take some time and will happen after getting the new physics up and running. But we will have a look at the performance before we do the next release. For now I can only recommend to use less karts :( > 4. In the "sand track" when the other carts try to get out of the "pryramide" > there is no way to get out for they. Coz, any comments? > 5. In the track battle.... the same in the tunnel and the "^" hold back the cart > sometimes. I think that's a problem with the models: the zippers are probably hovering a bit over the track, and the physics detect this. I am going to fix this when I am working on zipper/wheelies (which will be just after I fix automatic rescue). > 6. The track subsee the wands look not really under the see anymore. The walls don't look like being under water anymore? Not sure - again: anyone any comments? > 7. I have to install .net 3.5 because then can I start the game. Yes, that's a thing we have to fix. Unfortunately no one of us does has much experience with windows (only Maik, and he is currently too busy apparently). Do you know which dll is actually responsile for this? I might try to link in more stuff statically. But it would be realy good to have someone with windows experience to have a look at that. > Minor bugs: > > In the result screen the times form the opponents are false. Which results? The results for the computer karts that didn't reach the finishing line? That's a thing we hope to fix in a while, by simulating till the end of the race, without displaying it (which makes it much faster). > Here http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=202302 is the time the > 20. August 2007 ????? That's a sourceforge problem, and is apparently fixed by now. Now the date displayed is "December 13, 2007" > Sorry for the bad English but I hope that you understand me. :) Sure, no problem. > Here is a German version for the developers how can German. > http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=202302 Wrong URL, I guess you mean: http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Baustelle/Spiele/SuperTuxKart Best regards, Joerg |
