Hi! In the last weeks I've played around with the kart-variables quite a lot and I'm really hanging with the wheel-radius. I've decided to not touch this parameter pretty early, since I recognised it wouldn't have the effect i wanted it to have and was pretty unpredictable. In contrast, now it seems to me, that the wheel-radius would be an adequate instument to prevent the wiggling of some karts, esp of the hexley-kart. BUT there is only a very very small margin for this parameter until it feels like an invisible part beyond the chassis is hanging at the ground and the kart gets undriveable or the opposite way, the karts seems to fly and gets uncontrolable (instant wheelies). Don't get me wrong, but the whole thing feels to me like the wheels are not calculated in the ground-collision at all, and they are just hanging around, while, in reality the chassis is accelerating and steering. I guess you know better about it, just wanted to give back some feedback. I will play around with this and the dumping parameters over the weekend . Btw.: Sorry that the kart-profiles aren't ready by now, but with my current local copy, it's impossible to balance the karts for huge AI-problems. I will get a fresh svn-copy today ;) Greetings |
