Hi!
The flame sword looks nice! But how is Tux going to use it? Can he throw 
it like a boomerang or something, or is it supposed to be a close-range 
weapon, like Zero's lightsaber in the Megaman X games?
Besides, I also like the idea of Tux being able to do magic. Remember we 
are fighting a wizard, so it's only fair to give Tux something similar 
which he can face Nolok with.
IMHO, we should fit the magic system into the one-by-one ability-gaining 
scheme (which, as I recall, was commonly agreed to), so Tux can learn 
more and more spells (or get scepters or whatever that'll be) over time.

You're right on track with Zero's lightsaber.
If you upgrade your flame sword by getting another fireflower (or
whatever we will change it to), it will turn into the scepter, which you
can use to shoot fireballs, or whatever power we choose to give it for
long-range.
The same will happen with the ice/electric swords, but they will do
different things/hurt different enemies.  For example, ice sword could
probably freeze some smaller enemies and make them kickable like the
iceblock is, while I imagine that the fire sword would simply fry
enemies (that is, those that aren't immune to it... like fire enemies
would be) instantly.  Electricity? Hm.  I dunno what an electric sword
would do differently than a fire sword :)
