SuperTux needs a logo, just the letters "SuperTux" in a nice font could already be enough. Something more creative is of course welcome. Logo doesn't need to be final, sketches are welcome to, since I might need to cleanup or adopt the style a bit anyway. -- WWW: http://pingus.seul.org/~grumbel/ JabberID: gr...@ja... ICQ: 59461927 |

Good idea! I already thought about that, maybe we could use one of the=20 thousands of fonts scripts available for gimp. Anyway, the main menu background should be replaced. Anyway, the main > menu background should be replaced. Please *NO* gimp logo script, they just look all so damn boring and most of them are already used on a gazillions of webpages out there, thus they would give the logo this kind of 'recycled' look, that I really don't like. The logo should more like normal handwriting or at least in that direction. For the background I have something like this in mind: http://pingus.seul.org/~grumbel/tmp/supertux-titlescreen.jpg The 'SuperTux' logo should replace this ugly place holder that there is now in my title screen mookup. -- WWW: http://pingus.seul.org/~grumbel/ JabberID: gr...@ja... > http://pingus.seul.org/~grumbel/tmp/supertux-titlescreen.jpg I thought it looked pretty good... -Chris "Why, of course, the people don't want war... Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders... All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country." - Nazi Hermann Goering, at the Nuremberg war-crimes tribunal |

I just had this idea when I looked at your great background. It would give a damn great effect that those foregrounds start moving at=20 different speeds... It would be awesome! Anyway, that logo is not bad at all, I like it. Ricardo Cruz Em Segunda, 22 de Mar=E7o de 2004 16:24, o Ingo Ruhnke escreveu: > Ricardo Cruz <ri...@ae...> writes: > > Good idea! Well, I like that, but not the overall. Maybe we could make something like= =20 that. SuperTux is "SuperTux", not "Super Tux", right? We should ask sourceforge to change the project name from super-tux to=20 supertux. And also the happypenguin should be 'SuperTux', not 'Super Tux', since it= =20 creates confusion when searching. (also we need another screenshot and info= =20 over there) Ricardo Cruz Em Segunda, 22 de Mar=E7o de 2004 14:16, o Ingo Ruhnke escreveu: > SuperTux needs a logo, just the letters "SuperTux" in a nice font > could already be enough. Finished the logo. grumbel (Ingo) and I were discussing it last night, and he thought it would be usable if it were a bit more cleaned up. So I cleaned it up. I also added some nifty shading which I think reflects the "natural" style the artwork of SuperTux is moving toward. There is no "color" in this... I couldn't think of good colors to give it. But I'm releasing the XCF files, so it'll be easy for you to do that anyway. download it here: http://www.lingocomic.com/gfx/goodies/supertux/logo2.png http://www.lingocomic.com/gfx/goodies/supertux/logo2.xcf Both are released under the GPL. That means if you make changes to it, you have to release your "source" graphic file as well (preferably in XCF format). This hasn't been officially approved yet by Grumbel, but it looked like he was leaning toward it. I'll leave that decision up to him.
