Linux makes possible GREAT graphic workstations these days. My suggestion if you want to make graphics for SuperTux is to read the wiki, - to get an idea of what is needed. http://netpanzer.berlios.de/supertux/ There is a good graphic tutorial by Grumble in the wiki. Also, get a CVS copy of the game and look through everything so you are familiar with how things work. I got started by creating graphics I thought would look good in the game, then I uploaded them to my website and posted a links back to this mailing list. If the developers like your work, and you agree to have it included in a GPL package, then they may put it in the game for you. If the developer like your work enough, then they may make you a developer as well. It's pretty easy and the people around here are a good bunch, so welcome to the list. - Go Tux |
