Try using Debian sarge, i found it to be more stable then the stable 
version (especially the kernel).  I have the same card you have and got 
it working fine.  Just grab the Debian Sarge Netinst CD, i used rc2, but 
any version should work great, make sure you have a good internet 
connection though.
