   Hi Arjun Asthana,

   Try to call this at the prompt:

	/sbin/ldconfig -p | grep "libSDL_mixer"

   You should see something like this:

        libSDL_mixer.so (libc6) => /usr/lib/libSDL_mixer.so
        libSDL_mixer-1.2.so.0 (libc6) => /usr/lib/libSDL_mixer-1.2.so.0

   Otherwise I think that you need to do type "ldconfig" at the prompt as root
