Hi all, >And wich word is politically correct for little linux gurus? >I'm satisfied with the word "Distro". :) >Greetz... >Tobias Gl=C3=A4=C3=9Fer (a little Gnu/Linux guru) >Huh!? :^) >I'm leader of a ~400 member Linux User Group, and hang out in many Linux >communities. Since when do people not like the term 'distro'!? :) >-bill! >who's distro of choice is Debian In my words, "little linux gurus" are your own 5-year-old kids for example.= =20 And when we, adult people, talk about a "distro", I don't think that they c= an=20 understand what we mean. On one hand, "CD" (IMHO) is an easier word for kids because nowadays, kids = are=20 born with things like that. And you won't have to explain to them what a=20 "distro" is. On the other hand, the word "distro" may give you an occasion to talk to yo= ur=20 little kids about GNU/Linux, and of course about your favorite "distros" :-D I wonder how they called the "coins" in NES Mario ... I played it soooo lon= g=20 time ago ^^ |
