Hello Fahd! =20 Well, actually I do not know what version you use, but I suppose that you are not using sources from the CVS, am I right? =20 Ok, the point is that NETCONVERT treats nodes where only one road (and two roads if they are reconized as one bidirectionaly road) comes in and out AS DEFAULT. The geometry of edges is still kept in such cases. There is an option to shut this behaviour off named "--no-node-removal" and this option is set within your configuration file: <process> <no-node-removal>x</no-node-removal> </process> So if you want your command line call to do the same as the configuration file you should write: netconvert -n box4l.nod.xml -e box4l.edg.xml -o box4l.net.xml --no-node-removal I know that many people had problems with this and so in the next version - 0.9.3 - this behviour is turned off as default and nodes will be only removed if one passes a special option. The reason why I did this behaviour as default, is because you can speed up your simulations by reducing the number of streets to visit each time step when using it. Still, the documentation was not that good, it has been improved and I'll put it online in the next few days. =20 To the routes: within the examples most of the routes were generated by hand because of the very small sizes of the networks. Normally, we build a trip table which describes where and when vehicles are emitted and which destination they want to reach. These trip definitions are then passed to DUAROUTER. You might want to try them out yourself.
