Dear Javier, you are living in two worlds... VANET/V2X research uses the term "mobility model", as only the movement of communication nodes is regarded, and most of the research on V2X is not interested in anything more about traffic. This of course does not count for traffic research. Here, the major topic of interest is "traffic flow". Macroscopic models describe it directly, and microscopic, such as used b SUMO, describe it using single vehicles. Now, when coming to this point, ou should distinguish between demand (possibly divided by transport mode), route choice, lateral behaviour (lane-changing, again divided into control, tactical, and navigational level), and longitudinal behaviour (car-following). So what, "adapt the mobility model" to your city? Hmph, a) generate a proper representation of your city - may take up several month, in dependence to the data and tools you have, as all digital road networks lack some needed information and ou have to set up all lane numbers, traffic lights, sensonrs etc., b) get the demand - you'll hardly be able to do this by yourself; you should get an O/D matrix from somewhere, perform a dynamic user assignment; all in all, this will cost you one month if you have the data, c) optionally calibrate the longitudinal and/or even the lateral model. d) validate the simulation against real-world measures from inductive loops.
