    Hi Patrick,
I did install all required packages needed for SUMmOn, displayScan and plotSUMmOn. I am able to run "summon -c <conditionfile> <inputfile>" it generates some .tmp files and .png files. But I dont know how exactly use displayScan and plotSUMmOn. You mentioned in README file that we need to put them in cgi-bin directory. But I would appreciate if you explain what changes are needed(ex: any path change needed or anything in displayScan.pl need to changed etc.), and secondly how do I access them through web browser? Like in general scenario we have html form and then we fill it up and by pressing button form data is processed through cgi and displayed result, Please explain about displayScan and plotSUMmOn.

    Thanks in advance,
    poly_guy

      Hi poly_guy,
plotSUMmOn and displayScan should work without the need for any change to their source code.
They are called when you click on specific links in the output of SUMmOn. Namely, plotSUMmOn is called whenever you click on a spectra or a target peptide number; and displayScan is called whenever you click on the OK button of the FORM with the filtering options for the SUMmOn output.

However, from your next email I suspect that the reason you asked this question is simply that you don't get the correct output from SUMmOn. I will try to address that in the corresponding thread.

      I hope this helped.

      Cheers,

          Patrick
