I would like to try SUMmOn with Orbitrap data and Mascot server (2.1 or 2.2) as search engine.
I would like to know something more about the perl script used to generate the sub-database (since it was created to interface with Sequest results): 1) is it possible to modify the script in order to use it with Mascot? 2) if yes, do you have experience in how could I do that? 3) does the perl script comes together with the SUMmOn package?
I apologize for naive questions but I'm completely new to SUMmOn (still reading Nat Meth paper, still have to download the program).
