Hi all,
This is my first visit and my first post.
I already read all tutorials related to SubtitleWorkshop but I still need help. It's all about a blueray movie I bought. It comes with no subtitles at all. The problem is that the actors have different accents (American English, Greek, French and German) so it makes it difficult to understand everything some of the characters say.
So I decided to create the subtitles myself after dedicating a few hours, first downloading the subtitles from a place online, then making one million corrections over the downloaded script with timings, which seems to have been created with one of those word recognition software. Then, by listening to it I made all corrections I considered necessary.
Second, I downloaded the movie to my PC. Then, from the BCMV folder I extracted the STREAM, which contains 8 files. Only one of them seems to have the entire movie, which is file No. 00004 (almost 22 MB).
By using the option Movie => Open, I brought the movie to Subtitle Workshop interface but there is no audio.
So there is no way for me to sincronize the script if I cannot hear anything.
My intentions is to be able to enjoy the movie with family and friends.
Any help will be much appreciated.
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
Please verify with another program if audio is present. (e.g. VLC). If there's no audio in another program such as VLC, chances are subtitle workshop will have no sound as well.
If VLC has sound, please try subtitle workshop 6.0D, which allows VLC 32 bit as video (and audio) renderer. In subtitle workshop you'll have to change the video renderer. In the menu, movie -> Video renderer -> VLC.
