Hi
Im trying to convert srt subtitles in to adobe encore TXT format but during conversion I lost diacritics . It's because it's saved in ANSI encoding. Is there some way how to save txt in utf8 encoding ?
thank you

You can do it by the srt file separately. Open the srt file > save as > in charsets/coding select UTF8

Hi,
there are a lot of code page converters, even online. You can try simple little program called CodePageConverter (v1.0.0.0). It is free, very old, but for me still working great. It is 72KB big and doesn't need installation. By info in program the author is Emad Awad.

Excuse but I've received an .TXT file containing wierd characters. The guy who sent it for me teached me to open the file in the Windows Notepad and to "Save as...", chosing "ANSI" way in "Encoding:" option (just above "File name:" and "Save as type:" fields. Just for precaution I've saved with new encodind way BUT with a new name too, and only deleted the old file after a check in the new one. This new was correct. But when I choosed "ANSI", i saw I can chosse "UTF8".
Maybe it can work for you.
I'm using Win XP.

Hi, this should be solved in Subtitle Workshop Classic 6.0c (https://sourceforge.net/projects/subtitle-workshop-classic/). Do however not forget to save the subtitle as UTF-8.

That's not possible. It doesn't offer UTF-8 as a charset.
