here isn't much traffic, but I will inform you about the state of the=20
development at least. Currently I re-design some interna of subtle to make=
=20
keybindings for switchting next/prev/up/down windows possible. It's still a=
=20
feature subtle lacks. Also there are some fixes and additions for the=20
placement. The stuff isn't in the repo yet, because some parts of it are=20
still a mess and may crash. I will let you know when a new beta is ready.

Hey,

development of subtle is going well and I constantly add features, improve=
=20
code and/or fix bugs. So many things have changed since the last beta relea=
se=20
and for those of you who don't use the SVN snapshot here a short overview=20
about the recently added features and fixed things:

o several new key bindings:
=2D fullscreen mode
=2D pile mode (collapse all but one window in a tile, single click on a win=
dow=20
restores the window and collapses every other window in the tile)
=2D layout switch (switch between horz/vert tile layout)

o focus handling
=2D it works proper - but still not completely
=2D some clients seem not to decide which focus model they like - guess the=
re is=20
a hack needed

o popup windows / transient windows
=2D popup and message windows appear now raised and resized to a useful size
=2D some GTK+ apps don't like the ICCCM so there is more testing needed

o screens
=2D screen deletion works now completely
=2D screens are now renumbered if a prior screen is deleted

o ICCCM / EWMH
=2D _NET_WM_ALLOWED_ACTIONS is missing at the moment, but soon enough there=
=20
should even pager work
=2D wmctrl shows at least some infos about the windows and wm itself

Uhm, can't remember more - it's already late. ;)

Are there any features that you would like to see in subtle? Like Xinerama=

support or other things?

Hey,

this is just a mail to inform you about the status of the project. Currentl=
y I=20
am including more and more EWMH / ICCM functionality to fix issues like the=
=20
strange fullscreen behaviour of mplayer or firefox along with the focus and=
=20
deleting problems.

The next beta release will be next week - I've plenty of time there. The re=
po=20
is in the same stage as the latest release. There are many changes and can'=
t=20
be commited one by one.
