If I recall correctly, we will indeed create the track/ping back (assuming they are enabled for that blog) and then we will attempt to skip the filtering portion when receiving the track/ping back (b/c we will read your cookie and determine that you are a blog administrator). If you have moderation turned on, then I think the same rules apply and I *think* we will automatically approve the comment (for the same reason - we read your cookie to determine that you are an admin). There were a couple of *I THINK*s in there b/c it's been a while since I walked through that code. It would probably be a good idea to have someone walk that code and document that business rules we have around sending, receiving, and approving track/postbacks and comments. Anyone have a few extra cycles to do that? -Steve On 12/5/06, Ray Booysen <ray...@rj...> wrote: > > Wordpress as well does this. > > On 12/5/06, Simone-dev <sim...@pi...> wrote: > > > > In my .Text based blog this happens (well, they are added by default, > > without approval needed)... but never tested with Subtext (since I still > > don't have a "real" subtext based blog... :-)) > > > > Simo > > > > PS: but working on my blog design and style > > > > David Frank wrote: > > > Whoever is keeping score: should linking to a previous post from a > > > current post on the same blog (ie "remember when I talked about > > _this)_ > > > show up as a pingback/trackback for you to approve in admin?
