I get this too. It started with version 5.x. Every night, my server stops running after this error. If I uninstall and go back to 4.9 it will run indefinitely without crashing for weeks or months. But after every release of 5.x, I try again and it starts doing this.

I have also been getting the same error since 5.x beta (including the current release - 5.2 (build 4411).
Each new release, I install the new version, try it for a few hours (dealing with every other track or so not playing,) and then uninstall and go back to 4.9. This is getting frustrating.
My server stacktrace does not include the java.lang.OutOfMemoryError, but the initial exception is the same:
No change in current version (5.2.1 (build 4428))

I just realized that this bug doesn't cause a complete response failure, but possibly only causes new sessions to fail. I have a few instances of these log reports showing up and the result is that new connections can't be made but old ones seem to keep working. That might explain why the person two comments prior was still able to play on the website but not on their phones.
I may have figured out a workaround for this issue. I poked around the checkin history between 4.9 and 5.0 beta1 and beta2, and I noticed that the version of ffmpeg used for transcoding was changed. I installed the latest release of subsonic server (5.2.1 build 4428) and downloaded the version of ffmpeg from the 4.9 release.
I then renamed ffmpeg.exe (in c:\subsonic\transcode on Windows) to ffmpeg.exe.5.2.1.exe so I could still use it for video if necessary and copied in the downloaded version to this directory (as ffmpeg.exe)
I did this about 2 hours ago, and I am yet to have the issue.
Anyone else want to give it a try and report back?

Awesome! Wife was having trouble playing through her iPad and was getting the same "Failed to marshal JAXB" errors. Switched it up to the 4.9 version and fixed the transcode string and it worked.
