StripAIMetadata

StripAIMetadata is a free privacy-focused toolkit for removing hidden metadata from images and other files. It can remove EXIF camera data, GPS location, XMP, IPTC, C2PA Content Credentials, AI generator tags, prompts and PNG text metadata.

Processing runs directly in the user's browser, so files are not uploaded to a server. The toolkit supports JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and HEIC images, with additional tools for video and PDF metadata.

Users can remove all metadata or selectively remove GPS location, AI metadata and C2PA Content Credentials. The project is designed for photographers, AI artists, online sellers, journalists, researchers and anyone who wants more control over the information contained in shared files.
