--xs-min-volume undocumented (btw man refers about it) option seems to be ignored. And users doesn't know how to use it: what's the value I have to insert as xs-min-value? how to know what xs-min-value could I feel as silence in stream I want to rip? there is a way to measure stream volume and set a proper xs-min-value?
Sometimes stream I'm ripping has silence (I feel as silence, and I can see 0 (-60dB) in audacity...) but streamripper splits songs when 2nd has begun (so I think no silent is detected).
gcs.txt (--debug option used) reports:
VERIFIED TRACK CHANGE (find_silence = -1)
or
VERIFIED TRACK CHANGE (find_silence = 4)... or 2, or 5
What do they mean?
-1 means "no silence found"?
-4 means "4 times biggern than silence-length setting"? or "volume 4 times more little than xs-min-volume setting"?
I'm using: STREAMRIPPER unix 1.64.6
ops,
a mistake
-1 means "no silence found"?
4 .... (not -4)
;-)
