The "Loading please wait..." message sometimes get stuck. Just ignore it -- pretend it says "Ready".
Regarding the SR_ERROR_INVALID_URL, that probably that means you haven't loaded a stream.
Are you running winamp? Then, if you play the stream in winamp, streamripper is supposed to detect it, and automatically pick up the URL. When that happens, you can click record.
If you are not running winamp, or you can't get the automatic detection to work, try right-click on streamripper, and choose "Load URL". Then type or cut-and-paste in the URL of the stream, and hit OK. Now you are ready to record.

After installation of StreamRipper v1.64.4 and start of wstreamripper.exe SR whows me

Why?
How long do I have to wait approx. until SR gets connected ?
Does SR need some firewall settings? If yes: which?
If I click on START button I got an erro popup:
SR_ERROR_INVALID_URL
(under WinXP + SP3)
