No

When html-file is located at a networkshare, saving an edited page does not work. The message "Maybe your browser is not supported" does appear. After pressing OK the edited page shows the newly edited stuff but after reloading the page is same as before.

Environments tested in:

OS: Windows XP Pro

Networkshare (neither works):
1: UNC-Path
2: Mapped to Windows drive letter

Browser (neither works):
1: Internet Explorer
2: Opera

Using the html-file in same environments as above but with firefox as browser works perfectly.

Feel free to contact me for any further questions.

Best regards
Marco

Problem did not exist in versions below <0.9.2B ?

Can you please test with v0.9.1B r211?

Please tell me if the problem did not exist in the above specified version

    Thanks

Version 0.9.1B r211 does not work at all here. I tried to use it with Opera and also with Mircosoft Internet Explorer. But I am not sure if I downloaded this file successfully, because when I open the link below, the browser opens the file directly (instead opening the download dialog). Then, when the browser shows the file, I chose "save as HTML file" to save the file to my harddisk. Is there another way to download this file? I am not sure which file to download when browsing the repository.

Sorry for my bad english: The problem did not arise in version v0.9.2 B. First version I became to know about stickwiki was v0.9.2 B. After I saw the problem I also checked with version v0.9.3 B.

No problem about your English :)

Please try to download from this link, it will show up as plain text:
    http://stickwiki.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/\*checkout*/stickwiki/trunk/stickwiki-v0.9.2_BETA.htm?revision=244&content-type=text%2Fplain&pathrev=258

And then please tell me if the provided revision is not affected by the issue.

    Thanks

This file does have the same problem. On network shares "...Maybe your browser is not supported" appears.
    Debug console shows following content:

    ***** StickWiki started *****
CURRENT loaded: Main Page, 3482 bytes
CURRENT editing Main Page, title disabled: false
Setting wiki text for page #4 "Main Page"
CURRENT loaded: Main Page, 3541 bytes
    Saving modified page "Main Page"
    Exception while attempting to save

    [object Error]

I did not login for my last comment. So, "nobody" of previous comment is me :-)

I have tested the save feature unde IE7 and seems that IE7 cannot save at a network share.

Please try with the latest SVN revision and see if it works - but it does not work for me with IE7

Firefox can instead perfectly write to network shares

    I downloaded this
    http://stickwiki.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/\*checkout*/stickwiki/unofficial/stickwiki-v0.9.3_BETA_SVG.xhtml?revision=326&content-type=text%2Fplain

It didn't work at all. Not even with Firefox and from local harddisk.

The path word *unofficial* means that that is an unofficial WoaS, contributed by users.

You can get the latest SVN Beta build from:

Download the latest revision, r346: it works! :)

When v0.9.5B will be released you will be able to use it also on network shares; btw, the problem was on IE handling of paths which is different from other browsers

Thanks for having helped at removing this nasty bug!
