I found that on adding a URL link the cursor would appear in the middle of the sentence so on pressing enter the url and link text would be cut in half.

    @littlegirl: I don't understand this bug. How shall I reproduce it?

    if we don't understand it we might ask tonybruce

    This one means that when you click the URL button in the editor and type in an address and a link name, once you're done, the wiki link will be inserted for you, but your cursor will be just to the right of the pipe in the wiki link. If you then press the Enter key to get to the next line, the right half of the link will be moved down one line.

    @legolas: I don't think I'm qualified to fix this bug.

    It affects the Link button and the URL button in the editor.

    Both the Wiki URL button and the URL button use the setWikiUrl function.

    When clicking the Wiki URL button and answering the prompts, the link gets added and the cursor is to the right of the link. When clicking the URL button and answering the prompts, the link gets added and the cursor is to the left of the link text.

    The same is true for the Link button, which uses the setHTMLUrl function. It also creates the link and leaves the cursor to the left of the link text.

    I'm not sure why external links are being treated differently from wiki links. Hopefully you can figure this one out! (:

    @littlegirl: thanks for the explanation

    Unfortunately I don't think this bug is something we should spend development time on, I am closing it
