Initial Comment:
I'm amazed this hasn't been submitted yet. Where is
everyone? 

When playing with characters enabled (without
BeginnerHelper on), the characters will get stuck on
the last frame of certain animations and freeze in
place. I know more than one person has seen this
behavior; it was recently talked about in the
#stepmania IRC channel

This problem is fixed in CVS, and should be in the next release.
