Could you please answer my question about the stddev calculation? I CC'd that to you to make sure you got a copy, and I never got a reply. Your combo counter is ONLY increased with a "PERFECT!!", and jump PERFECT!!! steps (left and right, etc.) will only add 1 to your combo instead of 2. The combo counter thus becomes a "PERFECT!!" counter. In conclusion: -ONI should only add 1 to the combo no matter what, ONLY ON PERFECTS. GREATS DO NOT ADD TO THE COMBO." I'm inclined to believe him here because it explains the confusion I've seen. I've seen *many* people absolutely convinced combos add one, and just as many absolutely convinced it adds per-step; this explains and reconciles that: it's different in Oni. However, jumps are already only counting as one battery life. Just re-tested this; it's still working, so if you're seeing two battery lives for a two-foot jump, give some more detail, as I'm not seeing it. > This is a bad thing that needs fixing. (Note: I haven't done this *yet*) A combo count glitch is a minor bug; I'd suggest not fixing it for the release lest it add some other, more serious bug (since I don't think Chris is releasing another RC). Chris's call, though, and he's much more liberal about adding stuff at the last minute than I would be. :) -- Glenn Maynard |
