Bugs item #1092506, was opened at 2004-12-28 21:24 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=421366&aid=1092506&group_id=37892 Category: Fatal Crashes Group: Current: v3.9 rc2 Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: ShadowX10sion (shadowx10sion) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: USB Joystick Linux Crash Initial Comment: I was wondering why I was crashing with a divide by zero error for some time... till I saw a post from DDRManiaX cached in google. Apparently this guy's Stepmania would crash at startup when his USB Joystick was plugged in. I unplugged my USB pad (which SuSE used a standard HID driver for) and now Stepmania runs. Theres a problem with this setup: I can't use my pad unless it's plugged in obviously, and that means keyboarding. (Kind of boring) I find it strange that SuSE was able to find drivers for my pad. I am using a MadCatz XBOX DDR Dance Pad, with a USB converter. The arrows in jstest are boolean values and not axis, but the buttons A,B,X,Y do not respond. I have start and back though. This is due to the Analog nature of the buttons on the XBOX controller and it is not interpreted correctly using standard HID drivers. I'm hoping you guys can come up with a solution, it runs perfectly (meh, almost) otherwise. (This is from a guy that lost his ability to boot Windoze for the time being and needs a game to take a break from his repartitioning) Attached is my crashinfo.txt ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=421366&aid=1092506&group_id=37892 |
