Hi all, there is currently a private discussion about moving the code, website, wiki and downloads to github, and I think it would be better to move it here in the open. Facts: - There is already a Stellarium organisation on github Pros: - sourceforge is currently not reliable, the website and downloads were down for more than 24h. - the bzr project is not maintained since years, it is very slow with our large project and git is a de-facto standard for all developers - this could help attract new developers who are used to github Cons: - launchpad translation feature is very nice so we will still need to use it (or find an alternative solution) - launchpad bug reports is also quite nice - moving the website to github would require to recode it without PHP as github only serves static pages (I think) - moving the wiki to github would also require a lot of work Please add your points here!
