That's what I did I ran two copies of stellarium on different computers one with the refraction and one earlier version. I zoomed in to the same 1 degree field on each but haven't identified any differences yet. The star I was looking at showed a difference of 30 arc minutes in altitude in the data window but was in the same place in each computer.
