OK, I just tested the code you posted a link to in the other message with SDL 1.2.7, and it does show the joystick names properly. So we could use it to auto-detect the Stelladaptor. The only problem with it is that it only uses DirectX for input. The SDL under Windows is supposed to fall back to GDI/WinMM functions if DirectX isn't available. This is why it uses the WinMM functions for joystick input by default. So, if we want the Stelladaptor detection fix to be added to the official version of the SDL, it would be better, if we used the WinMM joystick functions for it. Ciao, Eckhard Stolberg |
